The DIFFA/Chicago granting process selects agencies providing the best care possible in Chicago, and the aviility to put dollars where they have the most impact to help the men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS. The populations impacted by the 2000 Excellence in Care award grants were 71% male and 29% female per the following demographics:

Caucasian - 22%
Hispanic - 12%
Aian/Pacific/Native American - 5%
